Loss of a pet

Very rarely do we find support for people who experience pet loss. Grief for an animal matters. However, many people don’t understand the pain that comes with the loss of a pet. What we do know and recognize is that with great love comes great grief. Many people long for their pets presence and companionship. They are often left with feelings of emptiness and sorrow. We invest emotionally in pets as we do in our social relationships with humans. The grief you feel is a tribute to the connection you had with your animal companion. We want to acknowledge that and help you process your grief in this difficult time. Our animals ground us and not having them can bring on instability. Our work focuses on understanding your grief and how you can mourn.
