Louisa Iannaci, Registered Psychotherapist - Grief Counsellor

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with 12 years of experience supporting individuals with their mental wellness. I enjoy helping clients to untangle thoughts and feelings and working through concerns or worries in arriving to a place of understanding and acceptance. In providing a person centered, non judgmental space, anti- oppressive and trauma informed approach, clients can explore the inner workings of their being to heal, grow and thrive. I facilitate sessions to support people based on their individualized needs and their goals through mutual trust and collaboration. I believe that everyone is on their own spiritual journey and that for some, participating in therapy can encourage deeper understanding and unearthing meaning in their life.

One area that is of interest to me is supporting individuals through grief and bereavement. Grief is part of being human and everyone goes through some sort of grief and loss within their lifetime. Oftentimes it can be challenging to explore the spaces of grief that are occupied with intense emotions and fears. Whether it is grief from a significant change and loss or the death of a loved one, I am here to support individuals with their mourning process where all thoughts, feelings and emotions are encouraged. Grief is powerful and the death of a loved one can leave people feeling stuck, helpless and overwhelmed. Grief therapy can provide people with healthy coping to help mourn the loss and to find meaning it. There is a place here to speak about your feelings and memories, you don’t have to endure your grief alone.
